HEADS Training in partnership with Hadrian School and Traincon Learning are facilitating a Mental Health Awareness Training course very soon. We would like the course to take place physically at the HEADS Training Centre at Hadrian school where we have strict COVID practices in place, but depending on what delegates preferences are we can facilitate via zoom too, just let us know what is practicable for yourself if you would like to book..
In the current COVID climate Mental Health is at the forefront of many organisations agendas, and attending this training will give you opportunity to take back much needed knowledge and skills to your own working environment.
This MHFA Lite course is an introductory three hour Mental Health Awareness Course.
By the end of the course you’ll be able to:
- Define mental health and some common mental health issues
- Identify stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health issues
- Relate to people’s experiences and support people in distress
- Look after your own mental health.
The MHFA Lite course is an introductory course and lasts three hours.
The session will be a mix of presentations, group interaction, and activities. Our instructors provide a safe learning environment and are trained to support you throughout the whole course. If you don’t feel comfortable joining in certain parts, then there is no pressure to.
Due to some of the sensitive subjects of our courses, we limit numbers to 12 people. We want everyone to feel safe and our instructors can help if people find some parts particularly difficult.
You’ll receive a MHFA Lite manual that you can take away with you at the end of the session and an attendance certificate from MHFA England
The course is for everyone aged 16 and above and you don’t need any qualifications or experience in mental health to take part.
If you would like to book a place on the training please contact Hadrian School on 0191 273 4440 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The cost of the course is £65 per delegate.
