The Special Needs Support Center of the Upper Valley, or SNSC, assists children with special needs and their families face their unique challenges. Besides coping with whatever physical, intellectual, or emotional disabilities they may have, they face the societal challenges of acceptance, appropriate education, opportunities for jobs, and recreation.
SNSC is a grassroots organization, started 30 years ago by families of children with special needs – any type of special need, such as Down syndrome, autism, hearing or visual impairment, diabetes, and many others. Examples of programs offered include respite care, educational advocacy, support groups, information & referral, mentoring, and social opportunities. As a result of our services, children and families served are more productive, have greater independence, and are empowered to contribute to their communities. |

Our Family Advice Workers have a wealth of personal knowledge and experience and the majority of the staff have disabled children/young people.” |
