EASTER 2024 REBOUND SESSIONS FOR FREE!
Dear Parents/Carers,
The school are facilitating Rebound Clubs in the Easter Holidays that are free for children on free school meals funded by the HAF Club, but also open sessions for anyone else who wants to attend too @ Ā£15 per session if you are not on free school meals. Please see the dates that session are available below.
Children can access a max of 2 dates if but if there is more availability after this has been advertised we will let families know.
Each session will last 45 minutes, and session will take place at:
10am/11am/12 noon and 1pm on the four dates below.

Please state the name of your child, the date and time you would like to access a session.
David will then let you know if sessions are available and book a slot for your child.
For those families that will be accessing the sessiosn who are on free school meals, there is a link to an online form that you need to complete to access the sessions for free once itās been confirmed that you have a session booked. This will be forwarded to you via email.

Rebound Therapy Sessions, and Massage sessions
HEADS are facilitating Rebound Therapy sessions at Hadrian School.
Sessions are currently running on the following days and times during term time:
Tuesday 4.30pm – 6.30pm – session times are either 4.30pm or 5.20pm
Thursday 4.30pm – 6.30pm – session times are either 4.30pm or 5.20pm
Saturday 10.00am – 2.00pm – session times are 10am/11am/12 noon/1pm/2pm

Each session will cost Ā£15.00 and will last approx. 45 minutes.
Massage Sessions
Massage therapy sessions are available to book on Saturdays with Zoe the massage & sports & exercise rehabilitation therapist, who also works within Hadrian School. Those who do rebound therapy sessions will recognise Zoe from Saturdayās. Massage sessions will be available to block book each month directly through Zoe. These sessions will be held in a room within our rebound therapy centre.
Massage sessions will involve massage & stretching techniques led by the child/ adult receiving the massage. Each session will be adapted to each individual. Massage can aid circulation, alleviate muscle pain, encourage relaxation, increase range of motion, improve sleep, decrease un-wanted behaviours and so much more.
Parents & carers will sit in the room whilst the massages take place.
Each 45-minute session will cost Ā£30.

The Rob Armstrong Rebound TherapyĀ Centre
This new bespoke Rebound Therapy Training Centre was opened in February 2018 by our generous Patron Rob Armstrong. The centre has been going from strength to strength and now offers rebound sessions on evenings/holidays/ and weekends.
The main centre consists of 5 trampolines, andĀ has overhead tracking covering the entire space making it fully accessible to both ableĀ bodied and physically disabled Ā children/adults. Within the centre there is also a series of ‘sensory stations’ which are also fully accessible.
There is a brand new Dance/Music Studio as well as a new Training Suite which is able to host up to 30 delegates.
What is Rebound Therapy?
The phrase “Rebound Therapy” describes the use of trampolines in providing therapeutic exercise and recreation for people with a wide range of special needs. These include participants who may have profound and complex learning difficulties, severe and moderate learning difficulties, ASD and motor coordination difficulties, dual sensory impairments or sensory processing difficulties.
Rebound Therapy is used to facilitate movement, promote balance, promote an increase or decrease in muscle tone, promote relaxation, promote sensory integration, improve fitness and to improve communication skills.
Rebound Therapy Sessions
Our sessions are open access to parents/carers from around the region and the session are appropriate for children and adults who are abled bodied and physically disabled.
All of the sessions are facilitated by experienced Hadrian School staff who are all trained as Rebound Therapy Coaches accredited with One Awards. Staff are also all first aid trained.
What do I have to do to access a session?
There is a pre-course questionnaire to complete prior to attending any sessions so we can access the characteristics of the child/adults disability, this helps us to ensure the sessions that is delivered is safe/beneficial and enjoyable.

As Hadrian School staff are supervising/facilitating the sessions we are happy for parents/carers to participate in the sessions. We also offer the opportunity for parents/carers to access the 2 day Rebound Therapy for SEN Training Course. On completion of the courseĀ candidates are awarded aĀ level 2 accredited certificate qualifying them as a rebound therapy coach, enablingĀ them to supervise and facilitate their own sessions.
How much are the sessions?
All sessions are priced at Ā£15.00 for week day and weekends. We encourage people to make block bookings of either a half term or full term as this will ensure you keep an allocated time slots. (For example a 7 week half term for 1 slot would be Ā£105).
Each session lasts approx. 45 minutes depending on the nature/characteristics/disability of the child/adult taking part.
