EVAC Chair Training
HEADS Training are offering Evacuation Chair Training to organisations across the North East. Hadrian School delivers a range of First Aid, Health and Welfare Training Courses and have been supporting schools and businesses for over 10 years. As a school for children with additional needs we understand the importance of being equipped and ready to deal with non-ambulant children or adults in the event of an emergency. Many organisations have Evacuation Chairs but are unsure of how to use them.
This short training course is ideal for anyone in an organisation that may be responsible for supporting someone in the event of an emergency such as a fire. This 3 hour course can be facilitated to groups of up to 6 staff. Our tutor can facilitate the training with your chair on your premises. A number of courses are being held at Hadrian School for those who require the training but do not have an Evac Chair.
Course content:
The course covers the deployment and handling of an evacuation chair and passenger. It will also cover advice on the siting and distribution of chairs as well as improving awareness of their multiple uses. A hands-on approach is taken to ensure good practice under expert supervision.
