Childrens First Aid

 

 

HEADS Training can offer a range of different children’s first aid courses to suit the needs of your school. Please see below the course content relating to the age groups of the children.

Nursery/Reception – 45 minutes

Making a 999 call – who to ask for, where you live, role play of someone poorly, reinforcing where 9 is on a phone

Year 1/2 – 45 minutes

Making a 999 call – who to ask for, where you live, role play of someone poorly, reinforcing where 9 is on a phone, Checking an airway, shouting for help,

Year 3/4 – 1 hour

Making a 999 call – who to ask for, where you live, role play of someone poorly, reinforcing where 9 is on a phone, Checking an airway, shouting for help,  Recovery Position, Bandaging, plasters, burns

Year 5/6 – 1 hour

Making a 999 call – who to ask for, where you live, role play of someone poorly, reinforcing where 9 is on a phone, Checking an airway, shouting for help,  Recovery Position, Bandaging, plasters, burns, CPR, understanding how the heart works, breathing/not breathing, choking, anaphylactic

A tutor can be hired for £495 for a full day, and work through 2 sessions in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. A half day will be £275. We work on a basis of approx. 30 children in each class.

All children will receive an attendance certificate

 

Secondary Schools

Year 7/8 – 1 hour

Year 9+

Student can gain a qualification whether it be appointed persons (3 hour course)  or EFAW (one day Level 3 course) once they are 14 years old.

Course costs can be discussed depending on the requirements of the school and the amount of students they would like to attend a course. An example price would be £450 for 16 students to complete a 3 hour appointed persons training, or if 12 students were to complete the Level 3 accredited 1 day training this would cost £60 per student
