Course Overview:

Our Level 3 First Aid at Work (F.A.W.) course is designed to provide comprehensive training for individuals who wish to become fully certified First Aiders at Work. This 3-day course equips participants with the essential skills required to confidently provide life-saving first aid in emergencies, treat injuries, and manage medical conditions effectively.

This course is ideal for those who want to be the appointed first aider in their workplace, especially in settings like schools, childcare facilities, or any other work environment where staff and visitors may require immediate care.

Course Content:

Participants will gain practical, hands-on experience in handling a wide range of first aid situations. Our experienced instructors use real-life scenarios to make sure your team is prepared to manage any emergency with confidence.

  • Assessing the Scene & Casualty
  • Administering CPR and using the AED
  • Managing Bleeding, Wounds, and Burns
  • Treating Medical Conditions: Choking, Shock, Heart Attack, Stroke
  • Fractures and Spinal Injuries
  • Health and Safety at Work guidelines for First Aiders
  • HSE Compliance and legal responsibilities of first aiders in the workplace

Additional Qualification Option:

For an additional £55.00, you can add a Paediatric First Aid qualification to your Level 3 certification. This involves completing some additional work and an exam during the 3-day course, allowing you to obtain both First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid qualifications in one course. This will ensure you meet all your workplace requirements with minimal time away from the office or school.

Requalification and Refresher Training:

  • It is HIGHLY recommended by the HSE that all first aiders complete annual refresher training to keep their skills up to date.
  • After 3 years, you will need to complete a 2-day re-qualification course to renew your First Aid at Work certification.
  • You can also attend the 3-day Full First Aid at Work course with the Paediatric Top-up to refresh both qualifications in one go, saving time and effort in future requalification cycles.
