Other First Aid Courses Offered by HEADS

At Hadrian Education and Development Services (HEADS), we offer a variety of First Aid courses to meet the needs of different groups, whether you’re a professional caregiver, school staff, or just looking to enhance your emergency response skills. All courses are held at Hadrian School, located in Newcastle upon Tyne, and can also be delivered at your venue upon request.

 

Basic First Aid Overview (Appointed Person) – 3 Hours

£50.00 per delegate
This 3-hour workshop is designed for school staff, parents, and other community members to provide essential first aid knowledge until a qualified first aider arrives on the scene. A certificate of attendance will be provided upon completion.

Course Content:

  • The role of an appointed person in the workplace
  • What to do in an emergency
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • First aid for an unconscious casualty
  • Managing wounds and bleeding
  • How to assist a choking person

Cost: £395 for a group of 12 staff members.

 

Automated External Defibrillator (AED) – Level 2 (3 Hours)

£75.00 per delegate
This 3-hour course teaches your staff how to effectively use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Instructors with real-life experience in cardiac life support will guide you through practical, hands-on training, ensuring your team feels confident and competent in using this life-saving equipment.

Course Availability: Can be delivered at your venue on request.

 

Annual Refresher Training for First Aid Courses – 3 Hours

£50.00 per delegate
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommends that all first aiders complete an annual refresher to keep their skills up to date. This course allows your first aiders to refresh their practical skills and theoretical knowledge and ensures they stay current with the latest guidelines.

 

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED Level 2 Qualification

£375 for up to 6 staff members
This accredited qualification provides learners with the skills and knowledge to perform CPR and use an AED effectively in emergency situations. This bespoke course is designed to meet the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines and ensures that your staff are equipped to handle critical emergencies confidently.

Course Details:

  • Assessment of CPR and AED skills
  • Emergency management of cardiac arrest situations
  • Use of AED to deliver defibrillation

 

Anaphylaxis and AAI Awareness Training (Twilight Session) – 1.5 Hours

£350 per session
This twilight session is designed for staff to understand anaphylaxis and how to use an AAI device (Adrenaline Auto-Injector). The training provides essential knowledge for those who may need to respond to severe allergic reactions in children or adults.

Capacity: Up to 24 staff members per session.

 

CPR, AED, and Anaphylaxis Accredited Training – 3 Hours

£450 for up to 12 learners
This 3-hour accredited course covers CPR, AED, and Anaphylaxis awareness. Perfect for training days or twilight sessions, this comprehensive course equips your team with critical life-saving skills for a range of emergency situations.

 

CPR, AED, and Anaphylaxis Awareness Training – 2 Hours

£375 for up to 16 learners
This 2-hour session provides awareness training on CPR, AED, and Anaphylaxis, giving staff a solid foundation in life-saving techniques. Ideal for staff training days, this course is perfect for those who need to refresh their knowledge.
